Here is a property well worth keeping an eye on—Dentsu Entertainment USA has announced a series of agreements with Namco Bandai that will result in Bandai producing toys based on the LBX (Little Battlers eXperience) property that will arrive in North American and European markets in 2013. The LBX property, which features miniature customizable robots, is a multi-media franchise that targets boys from 6-11 that ICv2 has been tracking since 2011 (see “LBX Robot Coming to North America”).
The LBX anime series, which will be crucial in driving sales of the toys and games based on the property, debuted in March of 2011 on TV Tokyo in Japan and doing very well. So far 44 episodes of the series have been produced. Bandai is developing an all-new line of toys based on the LBX property that will include figures, role-playing items, vehicles, and action model kits.
