HBO has released a poster for the second season of Game of Thrones, the popular adaptation of the George R.R. Martin’s epic fantasy novels.  The first season posters featured the phrase “Winter Is Coming,” so the more ominous message of the second season posters portends lots more action, intrigue, and combat in the new Game of Thrones episodes that debut starting Sunday, April 1st at 9pm (ET, PT, see “Game of Thrones Season 2 Trailer”).

 

A ratings hit in its first season, Game of Thrones has already spun-off a considerable amount of merchandise including a comic book series from Dynamite Entertainment as well as card and board games from Fantasy Flight Games.
