The Owl is returning to comic books in a limited series beginning in July, Dynamite has announced. Scripting is by J. T. Krul (Fathom), art duties belong to Heubert Khan Michael (Vampirella), and Alex Ross (Kingdom Come) will paint the covers. For issue #1, Ardian Syaf (Batgirl) will provide an exclusive subscription-only cover.
Nick "The Owl" Terry is essentially a stranger in a strange land, having spent the last 50 years lost in "an ethereal limbo." He comes back to find a much crueler world filled with desperation and violence, but remains determined to fight for good, old-fashioned truth and justice.
Created by Frank Thomas for Dell Comics, The Owl, who is a creature of the night similar to Batman, debuted in 1940 in Crackajack Funnies #25.
