Bryan Williams of Jennings Collectibles in Huntsville Alabama has already felt the impact of the new Marvel trade terms (see 'New Marvel Trade Terms Rationalize Order Cycle') and is losing discount:

 

We are a store in an over-populated comic-store city and the new Marvel discount is already affecting us.  I placed my order for February Previews Order Form and qualified for the 50% discount plateau on everything.  I received a call on Tuesday from my Diamond account rep, and was reminded on my invoice this week, that under Marvel's new discount structure I was only qualifying for a 45% discount for the February Order Form.  Marvel has taken the average of the past 12 months and I qualified at the lower level because of the winter months' this past year.  Then Marvel proceeds to produce and push so many books in the February Order Form for tie-in to X2, Hulk, etc., that they will sell more books at a lower discount level and thus make more money.  Just my two-cents (unless Marvel reduces that amount too).
