Continuing with the "plasma" theme, Plasma Blast, the next Pokemon TCG:  Black & White expansion set, will release on August 14, 2013.
 
This expansion will include more than 100 new cards.  Six new Pokemon-EX cards and five full-art rare Ultra Pokemon-EX cards will appear in the set, as will four new ACE SPEC Trainer cards.  The "Team Plasma" cards will continue to sport the blue border and Team Plasma shield from the earlier Plasma Storm set.
 
Pokemon TCG:  Black & White—Plasma Blast will be sold in 10-card booster packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99 and pre-constructed 60-card theme decks for $11.99.  The theme decks are designed to help new players get up to speed and start playing quickly. Both boosters and theme decks will include in-pack codes to unlock digital versions of the cards for online play.
 
Pokemon continued to be the fourth best-selling collectible game last fall (see "Top Collectible Games--Fall 2012").
