Disney has acquired the distribution rights to Marvel Studios’ Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger from Paramount, the companies announced. Paramount had been doing the distribution for Marvel Studios prior to the acquisition of Marvel by Disney. Disney bought out the distribution rights for Iron Man 3 and The Avengers for $115 million back in 2010 (see "Disney Buys Marvel Movie Distribution"), but this deal cleans up the rest of Marvel Studios’ output.
