Peter Parker, who was killed in a highly publicized storyline in Amazing Spider-Man last winter, will return in a new All-New Marvel NOW! Amazing Spider-Man #1 in April, according to the Daily News. The new story will be written by Dan Slott, who planned to bring back Parker when he was killed off last December (see "'Amazing Spider-Man' Ends in December with #700"), generating huge sales (see "'Spidey' Tops $1.6 Million"). Slott kept the secret until now, enduring death threats from irate fans (see "'Spider-Man' Scribe Gets Death Threats").
In the Amazing Spider-Man finale in 2012, Parker’s mind expired in the body of Doctor Octopus, and the mind of Doctor Octopus survived in Parker’s body. How Parker will be brought back with his original mind has not been revealed.
