USAopoly has announced two new Doctor Who-based game releases for 2014: Risk: The Dalek Invasion of Earth and Yahtzee: Doctor Who Dalek.
 
Capitalizing on the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who which culminated with the BBC special The Day of the Doctor last November (see "'Doctor Who' Sets BBC America Record"), USAopoly released Trivial Pursuit: Doctor Who, and now will follow that with new Dalek-themed versions of Risk and Yahtzee.
 
Risk: The Dalek Invasion of Earth features five Dalek armies vying for supremacy of the planet, while the Doctor does his best to stop it.  There are special power cards to boost forces and thwart opponents in the battle for the Earth.  The game is for 2 – 5 players, ages 12 and up.  MSRP is $49.95.  The game is planned for Spring 2014 release.
 
Planned for Summer 2014 release is Yahtzee: Doctor Who Dalek.  USAopoly currently has a TARDIS-themed edition available, but shaking the bronze Dalek dice cup and making it rattle will be infinitely more satisfying to Whovians.  The custom dice feature icons of K-9, the Sonic Screwdriver, River’s Diary, the 4th Doctor’s scarf, the TARDIS, and the 11th Doctor’s Fez.  Recommend for players ages 8 and up.  MSRP is $29.95.
