IDW is planning a second CSI title, CSI: Miami, which will kick off with a 48-page one-shot in October and begin a five-issue miniseries in December. It will be written by Jeff Mariotte with art by Jose Aviles. The Miami series comes on the heels of IDW's success with its CSI series, which launched last year (see 'CSI Comic from IDW') and was supported by a comic excerpt in TV Guide (see 'CSI Comic Preview in TV Guide'). The CSI: Miami series is part of an over-all expansion of IDW's comic publishing planned for 2004, which will see a greater number of IDW releases/month, probably including additional TV-licensed titles.
