WizKids has announced a new brick-and-mortar retailer Con in Your Store promotion, a three-level program that allows retailers to provide desirable participation and competitive prizes as well as for-sale exclusives. The Con in Your Store promotion is an Alliance Game Distributors exclusive program for stores that are registered in the WizKids Event System. The Con in Your Store kits, which require retailer purchases, will ship on July 30. Stores can schedule their CIYS events (by contacting their Alliance rep--comic shops interested in holding WizKids CIYS events can call their DCD reps to participate) and run them any time between August 1st and August 30th.
The Con in Your Store promotion has three different levels of participation depending on the amount of the retailer buy-in. To receive the Big Kit retailers have to buy $250 worth of qualifying WizKids products. The Big Kit includes 1 ten-count brick of HeroClix figures for use as participation prizes. It also includes two “surprise and delight” figures for use as First Place and Fellowship prizes (these "surprise and delight" figures are randomly selected from a pool of convention and/or chase figures). Purchasing the Big Kit also allows retailers to buy up to four exclusives to sell during CIYS events with no restrictions from a list that includes the Marvel HeroClix: Shuma Gorath colossal figure; the DC HeroClix: Trinity of Sin exclusive team base; the Marvel HeroClix: Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Exclusive Team Base; and the Marvel HeroClix: Captain America Sentinel Colossal Figure.
The next level of the CIYS promotion is the Huge Kit, which requires that retailers purchase $500 worth of qualifying WizKids products. The Huge Kit contains two of the Big Kits described above, as well as one each of three 2012 HeroClix Holiday Figures (the DC White Lantern Batman, Marvel Mephisto, and Holiday Elf figures), plus one Star Trek: Attack Wing Khan Promo Card Set, two additional random 2012 HeroClix convention figures, and one additional 2013 HeroClix convention figure. Retailers who buy the Huge Kit will also be able to purchase eight each of the four exclusives figures described in the Big Kit promo.
To receive the Enormous Kit retailers must order $1000 worth of qualifying product. The Enormous Kit contains three Con in Your Store Big Kits, one each of the 2012 HeroClix holiday figures described above, one Star Trek: Attack of Khan Promo Card Set, four additional random 2012 HeroClix convention figures, two additional random 2013 HeroClix convention figures, one each of the 2013 HeroClix Holiday Figures that have not been previously released including the DC Red Rain Batman, the Marvel Vampire Wolverine, and the Krampus HeroClix holiday figure, and one 56-piece DC HeroClix War of Light 2014 convention exclusive.
