Marvel Comics has released a preview of Magneto #9 by Cullen Bunn & Gabriel Hernandez Walta, which is due out on September 10th, and which kicks off the March to AXIS, the prelude that leads to Marvel’s big fall crossover event, Avengers & X-Men: AXIS that unites the Avengers and the X-Men in a desperate battle against the Red Skull and his vast armies.
In Magneto #9, the master of magnetism learns that the Red Skull is dragooning mutants and forcing them into re-education camps that turn them into his minions, which given Magneto’s mission in life to protect mutants, is enough to raise his ire. But then he discovers that the Red Skull has stolen the brain of the deceased Charles Xavier, and things really get interesting.
Here is another page of interior art.
And finally, a page without color evokes Hitler's Death Camps (and Magneto's memories?).
