This year's Eisner Award for Excellence in Retailing went to Phoenix-based All About Books & Comics, owned by Allan and Marsha Giroux. Although it may be the most prestigious award won by All About Books & Comics, the Eisner is hardly the first. Back in 1995, All About Books & Comics won the Capital City Distribution Master Retailer Award, which was certainly more lucrative than the Eisner, since Capital City provided All About with the wherewithal for an entirely new store. More recently All About Books & Comics took Second Place in ICv2's Shojo Manga Retailing contest in 2001, as well as the runner-up spot in ICv2's Spider-Man & Star Wars Display contest in 2002.
