Andy Battaglia of Comics Etc. in Rochester, New York saw our article on the retailer poll on the dates for Free Comic Book Day 2004 (see 'Retailers -- Vote on Free Comic Book Day') and has questions about the poll and the dates:

I was curious about the possibility of April 2nd as FCBD.  That day is a Friday.  Is that the actual intent or is it meant to be April 3rd?  I am also somewhat surprised that we only have ten days to vote on this issue.  Doesn't give us much time to debate the pros and cons of the different days.  July 3rd might be the opening for Spider-Man but it is also a weekend that is notorious for people leaving town in droves.  I cannot see how that weekend could be a success.
