As first reported on Comic Book Resources, DC is advertising for a manga editor for its La Jolla-based Wildstorm division. The description of the position says the manga editor 'personally edits up to 10 monthly import editions.' Marvel's manga strategy has been to hire some manga artists and to produce books, like its Tsunami group, that adopt some stylistic elements from manga. DC has previously produced one manga-esque book, the new Death graphic novel from Jill Thompson. Now it appears that one of the Big Two American publishers is looking seriously at importing Japanese manga.
