Georgia-based Internet retailer Tales of Wonder has purchased assets of Chaos! Comics from the bankruptcy trustee in Phoenix Arizona.  The purchase includes the intellectual property rights to Chaos characters, including Evil Ernie, Chastity, Jade, Bad Kitty, Purgatori and more.  Not included in the deal were the rights to Lady Death, which were sold to CrossGen for $12,500 (see 'CrossGen on Lady Death'). 

Tales of Wonder apparently plans to partner with established comic book publishing houses to put out new editions of comics featuring the Chaos characters.  Look for Tales of Wonder to attempt to license as many Chaos characters as possible for ongoing series.  Tales of Wonder also plans to 'explore the release of trade paperback collections of the Chaos! Comics backlist.'  Tales of Wonder also purchased a significant portion of the Chaos Comics backstock, and many of those items are available on the Tales of Wonder Website.
