Mark Farace of All American Collectibles, in St. Louis, Missouri, is worried about the potential problems of getting a major delivery on December 24th:
I, for one, do not look forward to getting books on Christmas Eve along with the possible pains it may bring. Just last week I had one box of comics roam around for 9 hours before it joined the rest of the order (once again...thank you UPS). Do I want to deal with that on a holiday? If I don't wait around is UPS working that Friday? Do I see the rest of the order on Monday? Diamond plans to be closed on Friday the 26th, so I presume that's why we couldn't get the books on Friday (if UPS is delivering). I usually spend Christmas Eve morning deleting inventory with a special last minute sale and move TONS of older product (and still get home early enough to enjoy the afternoon/evening). Anyone planning on holding their books till Friday? Anyone else think we should get the books on Tuesday (even if we're told to hold them till Wednesday)?
