William Tucci's Shi burst on to the comic scene back in 1994 and kicked off a wave of 'bad girl' comics, most of which failed utterly to capture the narrative drive and elegant line work of Shi.  The series chronicled the adventures of Ana Ishikawa, a woman caught between two cultures and between two groups of warrior monks whose shadowy conflict has endured through the centuries.  In the new series, Shi: Ju-Nen (literally Shi: Ten Years), Tucci's shapely protagonist returns to Japan where she attempts to avert an all-out war between the two secretive sects of martial artists.

The first book in the Shi: Ju-Nen four-issue mini-series arrives at retail on April 14 with a cover price of $2.99.  In addition to the new Shi series, Dark Horse plans on releasing new editions of the original Shi: The Way of the Warrior series as well as the Art of William Tucci coffee table art book.
