IDW Publishing is reporting that the first issue of the Silent Hill: Dying Inside, written by Scott Ciencin and illustrated by Ben Templesmith, has sold out.  The second issue of Silent Hill sold out, including IDW's overprinting, before it even shipped to market.  As a result IDW has ordered second printings of both issues, which will be timed to arrive in stores in April with issue #3.  The second printings will have the same cover art, but will be distinguished by a blood-red eyeball in IDW's logo, as the company has done with other second printings.

Silent Hill: Dying Inside is based on the best-selling horror video game from Konami, which has over four million avid fans around the world.  National exposure in Wired, Entertainment Weekly, Electronic Gaming Monthly and the Official Playstation Magazine have spread the word about the comic book series beyond traditional comic customers.  IDW's EIC Jeff Marriotte commented on the success of the comic book series: 'We're not surprised by the demand, but we want to make sure comic retailers have copies available to meet it.'
