Cartoon Network has announced two additional new series with implications for pop culture retailers.  Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi is a new animated series, slated for December, featuring the adventures of J-Pop sensation singing duo Puffy AmiYumi.  Puffy AmiYumi are not new to the Cartoon Network; they did the theme song for the new Teen Titans cartoon.   Live action sequences featuring the real band-mates will be included in Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi.  The most recent Puffy AmiYumi album includes the Teen Titans track. 

 

Comic scribe Judd Winick's The Life and Times of Juniper Lee will premiere in February 2005.  The title character is a typical modern-day 11-year old girl with the atypical special responsibility of fighting the forces of chaos and mischief.
