The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has announced that Paul Levitz, President and Publisher of DC Comics, has accepted a seat on its Board of Directors, where he joins Chris Staros, Peter David, Neil Gaiman, Milton Griepp, Greg Ketter, Frank Mangiaracina, and Louise Nemschoff.  The CBLDF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of First Amendment rights for comic book retailers, publishers and authors.

In accepting the position Levitz noted: 'The First Amendment is crucial for allowing truly diverse voices to be published, and the CBLDF has served as a strong rallying point for our industry to unite in insuring its protection is shared by all.  I'm honored to have been invited to join the board, and hope to help it continue and expand its work in a time when comics are dramatically expanding their creative range.'
