We heard from Flaming Carrot creator Bob Burden this week, who wanted to make sure that retailers were getting the support they needed to sell the re-launched comic series.  'Coming back into this after all these years is a challenge,' he said.  'I want to see that the new issue sells through and the retailers continue to order it in the coming months.'

The re-launch of Flaming Carrot hit comic stores this week, numbered #1 on the cover and #32 in the indicia to reflect the numbering from the old series.  It will be a quarterly title, allowing retailers to see how the first issue sells through before ordering the second.

Issue #3

Burden said he was happy with the numbers on the title, which hasn't had a regular issue out in almost ten years.  He's hoping that the book will pull in some new readers as well as re-activating as many as possible of the character's fans from over the years.  The Flaming Carrot character is 25 years old this year.

Issue #2 is being solicited this month for March release.  Issue #3, in which Flaming Carrot meets Dynamite Girl, will ship in June.
