According to the Hollywood Reporter, Eva Marie Saint, the one-time sexy screen siren who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest in 1959, will portray Martha Kent, Superman's earthly 'mother,' in Bryan Singer's new version of Superman.  Ms. Saint has taken on a number of character roles lately in films such as Because of Winn-Dixie (due of this month) and Don't Come Knocking, which is directed by Wim Wenders and scheduled for a fall release.
