Dynamite Entertainment has signed with Simon & Schuster for book channel distribution, the companies announced. Simon & Schuster Distribution Services will handle sales to book chains, indie bookstores, other non-comic brick and mortar retailers, e-commerce retailers, and libraries worldwide.
"Dynamite Entertainment is one of the most dynamic publishers of comics and graphic novels," S&S Distribution Services SVP Michael Perlman said of the new signing. "We look forward to working with them to expand the reach of their tremendous list into the worldwide book market."
The move completes Dynamite's divorce from Diamond Comic Distributors and Diamond Book Distributors, which had been handling Dynamite titles until recently. Dynamite went to Lunar Distribution for comic channel distribution this month (see "Dynamite Adds Lunar for Distribution"), and is fighting Diamond in court over payments (see "Dynamite Asks for Rush Hearing"), and over Diamond's move to seize and sell consignment inventory (see "Diamond Consignment Suppliers Uniting").
