Dark Horse Comics will publish four Kiss-related comic titles beginning in the spring of 2002.  Kiss: The Psycho Circus was a part of Todd McFarlane's publishing stable, but McFarlane's recent scaling back of comic book operations left Kiss comics without a publisher until Dark Horse stepped in with an offer which allows Kiss honcho Gene Simmons considerable input into storylines and talent.  Dark Horse will publish four different Kiss titles: The Demon, Starchild, Space, and Catman.  Look for the first of these titles to appear in late spring of next year.

From its earliest days, Dark Horse has displayed a knack for creating good licensed comics, something that larger publishers often found difficult to do.  From Aliens and Atlantis to Buffy and Star Wars, Dark Horse has had success with licensed properties.   Since the property is based on a band and not on hit movie or TV series, Kiss Comics will present a special challenge for the publisher.
