Diamond Select Toys has announced a licensing agreement with Capcom, publishers of the Street Fighter video game franchise (30 million units sold worldwide), to develop a line of Street Fighter Minimate toys and collectibles. Diamond Select Toys will develop the line in conjunction with the New York-based Art Asylum. DST and Art Asylum have worked together on a number of series of the 2-inch, block-like Minimate figures with properties including Marvel superheroes, Star Trek and Death Jr. The Street Fighter Minimate line is scheduled for a late summer 2005 release.
