Veteran comic scribe Chuck Dixon, who began writing for four-color heroes back in 1985, is heading to Tampa to join forces with the Crossgen team on March 1, 2002.  Dixon has written for every major publisher including Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse and Bongo, and has created stories for Batman, Catwoman, Punisher, Superman, Team 7, and the Simpsons, to name just of few.  Although the CrossGen top brass has not yet determined which title (or titles) that the prolific Dixon will be working on, his versatility should provide the publisher with plenty of flexibility.

In a little over a year's time CrossGen has grown into the comic industry's fifth largest publisher.  CrossGen has aggressively pursued top comic talent and has landed a nice mix of veterans and promising youngsters including: George Perez, Butch Guice (see 'Butch Guice Joins Crossgen'), Karl Moline (see 'Karl Moline...'), Greg Land, Mark Waid, Drew Geraci, Scot Eaton, and Ron Marz, to name just some of the prominent figures who have joined the CrossGen team.
