According to the San Francisco Chronicle, George Lucas, who opened a huge digital cinema center at the old Presidio Army base in San Francisco over the weekend, is now fully engaged in bringing the final chapter of the Indiana Jones saga to the screen. Last month Variety reported that both Lucas and Spielberg had signed off on Jeff Nathanson's script for Indy 4, but roadblocks still remain, primarily the schedules of the principal players involved including Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford. Still this long gestating project (see 'Indiana Jones & the Script of Doom'), which Lucas has firmly identified as the last film in the Indiana Jones series, is probably closer to fruition now than it has ever been.
