Dallas Middaugh, of Del Rey Manga, told ICv2 at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con International that Del Rey will continue its slow and steady line expansion with two new titles, School Rumble and KageTora, scheduled to begin in the spring of 2006. Each volume of these ongoing series will be cover-priced at $10.95 and suggested for readers eight and up.
School Rumble is by Jin Kobayashi and focuses on unrequited love and the humorous misadventures that accompany it. Both the manga and the anime have been popular in Japan; the anime is expected to make it to the States soon.
KageTora, by Akira Segami, is about a ninja who has to secretly protect and teach an incredibly clumsy 16-year-old girl, complete with growing romantic attachments which can't be as she is a member of the family who were masters of his clan.
