Chris Shorb of The Third Planet in Torrance, California saw Steve Bennett's new column (see 'Confessions of a Comic Book Guy--Upping The Ante, Jumping The Shark'), and has an epiphany:

 

A-ha!  Now I understand.  Steven Bennet is talking about 'SuperHero Entertainment'.  Jim Crocker and Allen Swords are talking about 'Graphic Fiction'.

 

Art, meet Commerce.  Commerce, Art.  Mr. Picasso?  Meet Mr. Rockwell.  Mr. Udon?  Meet Mr. Ware.

 

Somewhere in the middle, the direct market begins to thrive again.

 

And I think the one thing we can all agree upon - getting more kids to read comics now ensures a future for all of us in the industry.
