Majestic Studios, which has already produced a line of 12-inch action figures based on the original 1970s Battlestar Galactica TV series, has reached an agreement with Universal Studio Consumer Products to create a series of 12-inch figures based on the new Battlestar Galactica series, which currently appears on the Sci-Fi Channel. 

The Sci-Fi Channel recently renewed Battlestar Galactica for a third season (see 'Battlestar Galactica Renewed') and the Majestic Studios action figures will join an increasing array of products based on the revived TV series including a collectible card game from WizKids (see 'WizKids Plans Battlestar Galactica CCG') and comics from Dynamic Forces/Dynamite Entertainment (see 'Battlestar Galactica Comics').
