DC Direct is introducing a new product line, blind box-packaged micro trading figures, featuring six figurines inspired by some of the key moments in the history of the DC Universe.  The Who's Who Mystery Box Series I includes Superman (inspired by Superman #205), The Flash (from Showcase #4), Green Lantern (from Showcase #22), Shazam (inspired by the Power of Shazam graphic novel), Batman (from Detective Comics #27) and The Joker (from Batman #613).

Blind box-packaged mini-figures have long been a popular staple of the toy market in Japan and trading cards, collectible card games and collectible miniatures games (such as the HeroClix figures from WizKids) use the same principle to drive sales and foster trading among consumers.

DC's Who's Who Mystery Box Set Series I figures are intended for individual sale to consumers but will ship to retailers in May of 2006 in a counter display box that contains 20 individually sealed mystery boxes.
