According to Variety, Michael Vaughn, who produced and directed Layer Cake and produced Snatch, among others, is in final negotiations with Paramount to direct and produce his adaptation, with co-writer Jane Goldman, of Neil Gaiman's Stardust novel. Originally published in 1997, Gaiman's Mythopoeic Award-winning novel is about a young man who goes to a magical realm to retrieve a fallen star for his beloved.
