According to Anime News Service a TV anime series based on the popular manga Nana by Ai Yazawa will be broadcast on Japanese TV during the late night hours starting in the spring of 2006.  A live action film based on the manga was a huge hit in Japanese theaters earlier this year (see 'Film Based on Viz Manga Scores in Japan').  Viz plans to release the first volume of the Nana manga series in the U.S. in December. 

This property has been a huge hit in Japan and is likely to find favor with manga's growing audience of teenage female fans here in the States.
