Right Stuf International announced that it will begin releasing the Boys Be anime series on DVD in February. The Boys Be anime is based on the manga anthology of stories about high school boys and their relationships. Tokyopop is releasing the manga here in the States. It was enormously successful in Japan, reaching 50 volumes in three series.
Boys Be Volume 1, which will contain the first three episodes, will ship with a 12-page booklet containing character bios, Japanese voice actor reports, director's commentary and other features. DVD extras will include the usual Japanese and English audio tracks, commentaries, textless opening, and more. In addition to the standard release, at $29.99, Right Stuf is also releasing a Collectors Edition Artbox edition, at $39.99, which in addition to the DVD will also include a box suitable for all four DVDs in the series.
