After a period this fall when it was appearing both on the Cartoon Network and on the WB broadcast network (see 'Kids WB Samples Sailor Moon'), Sailor Moon has now been relegated to a relatively thin syndication schedule around the U.S. by its cancellation by the Cartoon Network, with uncertain prospects for renewal.  Upcoming high-profile events that will help keep the property in the public eye include the showing of the Sailor Moon R movie on November 2nd at 5:30 p.m. ET, and a planned mall tour in 2002.

It will probably take awhile for any reduced visibility to affect sales on this strongest shojo property (see 'Sailor Moon GNs Top Bookstore Sales').  It has a large and loyal customer base that continues to be fed new DVD and manga releases, and there are plenty of ways other than the Cartoon Network to further publicize the property.
