The Hollywood trades are reporting that Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village) is expected to be signed for the role of Gwen Stacey in Spider-Man 3. Filming is starting this week on the summer 2007 tentpole, with Sam Raimi directing. Howard will join other new cast additions Topher Grace and Thomas Haden Church, along with returning cast members Tobey McGuire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco (see 'Topher Grace in Spider-Man 3').
