Ethan Peacock of Elfsar Collection in Vancouver, British Columbia saw the comment by John Miller of Lost Realms on low subscription prices competing with brick and mortar store sales (see 'John Miller of Lost Realms on Sub Prices'), and has this response:

You certainly can order via subscription if you want to but be warned, the mail subscriptions are usually filled to households almost an entire month after the issue has already hit the stands in the retail market.  So if you want to be current then (and until there is something better) Diamond is the way to go.  Diamond also has an overship program which allows you to return unsold issues.  But if you don't expect to sell many, then the returns are not worth the shipping cost.  Or keep tabs on what kind of quantities you are selling and adjust your order accordingly.  It's always in your best interest to discount previous unsold issues just to clear them out as well.
