Virgin Comics has provided more information on its first three titles (see 'First Four Virgin Comics'), which launch in consecutive weeks in July. Shipping July 12th, the first Virgin Comics release is Devi #1, which will be written by Siddharth Kotain, with art and cover by Mukesh Singh, shipping under the Shakti imprint. The storyline is a modern take on an ancient myth; the title character is a fierce feminine warrior who takes the form of a young city girl.
On July 19th, Snakewoman #1, which will feature a cover by Jeevan Kang, will ship under the Director's Cut imprint. The snakewoman is a student, waitress, and mass murderer who in three years will have killed 68 men.
And on July 26th, Sadhu #1, written by Virgin Chief Creative Officer Gotham Chopra (Bulletproof Monk), with art and cover by Jeevan Kang (
