Ron Catapano of Ron's Comic World in Mount Holly, New Jersey has some ideas for DC:

A note to Dan Didio at DC.  I thought I'd try something new...  Some comments, observations, and suggestions:

Not available and in need of a new printing:

- Batman: Prodigal TP

An important and powerful character story concerning the relationship between Batman, Nightwing, and Robin which ties in with many of the stories being done in the Batman 'family' titles (and in Infinite Crisis).

- Batman: The Killing Joke

The definitive Joker story as well as an important event book.  This is one of a handful of books that are a must read for anyone new to comics or to Batman.

- Green Lantern: The Power of Ion TP

An excellent GL book as well as being one of the best Kyle Rayner stories. With Ion back in action, this book should be back in print.

Trade paperbacks that need to be done:

- The 'Emperor Joker' story:

- A great story which can be read on its own.

- Contains all the big players in the DC Universe.

- Batman's reaction to having his memories altered -- pre-              Infinite Crisis.

- Ties into the recent Superman/Batman story.

- Warlord (the original series):

- Long past due for TPB treatment.

- Much better than the new series which was considered worthy

  of publication.

- Will 'NOT' be confused with new series (which should be

  canceled soon).

- Links in recent years to Green Arrow, Birds of Prey, and

  Wonder Woman.

Mistakes that can still be corrected:

- Include the one shot 'specials' where they belong in the trades for Infinite Crisis.

- Cutting print runs too low for a 52-part weekly series will not be a good idea (2nd prints won't work well for a weekly book unless the issue is at least 6-8 weeks old , and a single sold out issue in the first 6 months will severely cut into future sales).

Suggestion:

- look at what Marvel is doing with collections on DVD Rom for series that DC may not want to collect / keep in print such as Warlord, Supergirl, Starman, or older series like Sgt. Rock.
