According to the Hollywood Reporter Morgan Freeman will star opposite James McAvoy in Universal's adaptation of the Top Cow comic book Wanted, which was written by Mark Millar and illustrated by J.G. Jones.  Freeman, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as a trainer in Million Dollar Baby, will play the role of Sloan, who tutors Wesley Gibson (McAvoy -- see 'McAvoy Set for 'Wanted') in the ways of the assassin.

Filming of Wanted is slated to get under way in early 2007 under the leadership of tyro director Timur Bekmanbekov (Night Watch), who is helming his first American film.
