Margaret Weis Productions has released more information about its Battlestar Galactica Role-Playing Game (see 'Battlestar Galactica RPG').  In early 2007 Margaret Weis Productions will release a BSG RPG Quickstart Guide, followed by a core rulebook in the spring.  The self-contained gamebook will feature the same game system as the publisher's Serenity RPG and apply it to the dark and complex world of the modern BSG television series. The game book will be a full-color hardcover featuring still images from the series as well as original artwork. It will provide rules for play, character creation, and information about the ship and crew of Battlestar Galactica as well as the other main characters from the show.

Jamie Chambers (Dragonlance Campaign Setting, Serenity RPG) is leading a team of designers including military game expert Sean Everette (Knightly Orders of Ansalon, Castlemourn Campaign Setting).  The designers are attempting to be as true as possible to the details of the series and provide a realistic military science fiction RPG adventure.

As a property Battlestar Galactica continues to gain momentum.  BSG comics form the core of Dynamite Entertainment's comic book line, while WizKids has released a BSG CCG and BSG toys and collectibles are available from Majestic, Hasbro, Diamond Select/Art Asylum, and Master Replicas.
