FUNimation announced it will release the 26-episode anime series, Ragnarok: The Animation, on DVD this fall. Ragnarok is based on the Korean on-line game of the same name, which is in turn based on the Ragnarok manhwa by Myung-Jin Lee -- the first manhwa to inpire a Japanese anime series. The Ragnarok MMORPG has about 300,000 players worldwide.
The series follows the epic journey of a young male and female traveler through mysterious challenges and the battle of Ragnarok.
