Fantasy Flight Games is preparing an October release for the World of Warcraft the Board Game: The Burning Crusade Expansion (MSRP $49.95). The deluxe board game is the sequel to FFG's original World of Warcraft Board Game, which was released in 2005 and was also based on the hugely popular World of Warcraft MMORPG (Massively Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Game), which reportedly has as many as 8.5 million subscribers worldwide.
The new FFG Burning Crusade Expansion board game is based on the WoW Expansion: Burning Crusade, which Blizzard Entertainment released in January and which became the fastest selling MMORPG expansion of all time. The new FFG WoW board game mimics the inventions of MMORPG expansion, allowing players to assume the roles of a Draenei shaman or a Blood Elf paladin and add new powers and talents while rising to level six.
FFG's Burning Crusade board game expansion is loaded with dozens of new plastic figures including new monsters, new heroes, and new flying mounts, plus new quests, new rules, new powers and the ability to explore dungeons in both Azeroth and Outland.
