Mayfair announced two new releases for October: Chicago Poker, designed by Bruno Faidutti and The Market of Aturian, designed by Wolfgang Kramer. 

Chicago Poker is set in 1920s gangster-run Chicago where players vie to take control of all money-making establishments (speakeasies, gambling houses, jazz clubs and distilleries) by sending gangsters to intimidate business owners.  The first 'boss' to take over three of the same type of business, four different businesses, or any five businesses, wins. 

The game includes 20 Hexagonal Business tiles, 87 cards, four shootout markers and rules. Chicago Poker is for 2-6 players, ages 10 and older and should play in about 45 minutes. MSRP is $35.

The medieval Market of Alturien has up to six merchant families compete for wealth and power by attracting seven customers with varying amounts of wealth. As the game progresses, merchants build new trading halls and create mercantile empires, being on the watch for Gustavo the Weasel who steals from the rich and gives to the poor.  The first merchant to gain enough wealth and three prestigious prizes is granted noble status and wins the game. 

The game includes seven figures (six customers and one thief), 72 Buildings (six colors), 14 prestige cards, 12 investment cards, six market leader cards, one city guard card, 70 bills of currency, six game summaries, and two special dice. Market of Alturien is for  2-6 players, ages 10 and older and should play in about 60 minutes. MSRP is $45.
