In October Margaret Weis Productions will release the Demon Hunters roleplaying game based on the independent films, Demon Hunters and Demon Hunters: Dead Camper Lake, produced by Dead Gentlemen Productions (The Gamers, The Gamers: Dorkness Rising). Demon Hunters (MSRP $40) uses the Cortex System also used in the Serenity and Battlestar Galactica RPGs. The hardcover rulebook is 160 full-color pages.
The game will be packaged with a DVD of the film, Brotherhood Orientation Video, co-produced by MWP and Dead Gentlemen and directed by Ben Dobyns and Don Early. According to MWP, the film can be viewed on its own or incorporated into a Demon Hunters campaign.
The Demon Hunters universe combines horror, comedy and comic book-style action and follows the adventures of the Brotherhood of the Celestial Torch, which was has existed since Old Testament days and fights demons and other minions of hell on behalf of heaven.
