Hidden City Games is preparing to release Native Lights, the fifth series of cards for its Bella Sara Trading Card Game that targets girls from 5-12.  Native Lights, which includes 72 new cards, pays tribute to Native Americans and Native American culture.  Hidden City was assisted by consultant Tom Grayson Colonnese, chair of the American Indian Studies Department of the University of Washington and a member of the Santee Sioux Nation, who noted that: 'Bella Sara Native Lights represents Native American stories, images and traditions in a responsible and sensitive manner.'

As with previous Bella Sara sets, the horse cards in the Native Lights set include computer codes that allow customers to activate their equines online at the Bella Sara Website, but for the first time in the Bella Sara TCG, the Native Lights horses and their corresponding virtual horses come with companion animals that function as guides and friends and are linked to the spirit of nature and to the horse.

Bella Sara: Native Lights includes 72 new cards, 45 of which are regular horse cards (each with an animal companion), 10 rare energy cards, and 17 extra-rare shiny horse cards.  Each energy card activates a different Native American digital object including objects such as a dreamcatcher, a headdress or moccasins that can be used to decorate the users' online cottage.  New horses in Native Lights set include many which are named after Native American tribes such as Osage, Chumash, Cheyenne, Navajo, Apache, Comanche, Mohawk and Shawnee, plus updated versions of the iconic Bella Sara horses such as Bella, Fiona, Jewel, and Thunder.  Each Native Lights pack (MSRP $2.99) includes seven randomly-packed horse or energy cards.
