GAMA Marketing Director John Kaufeld will step down from his post, after nearly a decade of service to the organization. A noted author (Trading Card Games For Dummies, among other titles), retailer, and game designer, Kaufeld has worked on-and-off for GAMA since 2000, serving as full-time marketing director since December 2008 (see “GAMA Hires Kaufeld”).
Two people will take on Kaufeld’s duties in marketing and public relations. Steve Verdoliva has been appointed Acting Sales Director after two years as GAMA’s Program Coordinator. A 40-year veteran of gaming, Verdoliva is a founding member of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, Pacific Southwest and spent 13 years as a retail store owner.
Also joining GAMA in a part-time public relations role is Andrea Kruse, who currently works in public relations with the Columbus, Ohio Department of Youth Services.
