Famed game designers Bruno Faidutti (Citadels, Red November) and Serge Laget (Mystery of the Abbey, Shadows Over Camelot) have created Ad Astra (“To the Stars”), which Fantasy Flight Games will release in August.  This sophisticated science fiction board game transports 3-5 players into a possible future where five disparate human subraces must explore the galaxy and search for new habitable planets.

Ad Astra (MSRP $59.95) is a deluxe European-style game that includes a modular game layout, high quality plastic gaming pieces, and a large assortment of cards and counters.  Players vie to discover resource-rich planets where they can locate colonies and factories and perhaps even discover alien technologies that will swing the balance of power in their favor. The game, which involves interactive resource trading, stresses strategy as players have to plot their moves out in advance as well as try to predict the actions of their opponents.
