Mayfair Games is bringing the Catan Dice Game Deluxe Edition (see “New ‘Catan Dice Game’”) to North American shores later this summer. This quick-play version of the award-winning Settlers of Catan board game comes with everything needed for up to six players to explore the island of Catan while on the go and can even be played solo.

Instead of laying out a board of tiles, players keep track of their roads, cities, and knights on pads of paper showing a map of the island. Six resource dice dictate what players have to work with each turn, and the entire game – dice, rules, and score pad – fits inside the lidded leather dice cup.

A typical game takes just 15 to 30 minutes. The Catan Dice Game Deluxe Edition will be released in August or September with an MSRP of $25.
