Fantasy Flight Games has announced an organized play program for its Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game.  Designed by Eric M. Lang, Warhammer: Invasion is a two-player card game in which one player marshals the forces of Order (Dwarves, High-Elves, Empire) while the other commands the forces of Destruction (Orcs, Chaos, Dark Elves).  Retailers who wish to begin hosting Warhammer: Invasion OP events can purchase a Warhammer Invasion League Kit ($15) directly from FFG’s B2B store or through their FFG sales rep.

 

The first Warhammer: Invasion League Kit contains a storyline campaign packet with a guide to starting and running a league as well as information on the current storyline plus voting forms through which participants in the Warhammer: Invasion League OP events will decide whether a lord of order (Teclis) or a master of destruction (The Changeling) will enter the Warhammer metagame.

 

The League Kit also includes a 24” x 14” playmat, a Warhammer Binder, and two league pins, which are to be awarded to the winners of the OP events.  The 1-inch in diameter league pins, which are adorned with soft enamel images of the symbols for the forces of Order and Destruction, will provide players with access to special invitational events that are coming next year.  Anyone who has won a pin through their league is automatically qualified to enter the special invitational tournaments.  Information on these tournaments will be announced shortly.
